MemoryBoost does not create more memory for you. Memory is actually a chip (or a number of chips) installed in your computer. It's a physical entity; it cannot be changed by a program. MemoryBoost also does not compress your memory. Compression slows down the computer heavily; since memory is intended to speed up your computer, compressing it doesn't make much sense.

Do I have to use QuickBoost all the time to reclaim memory?

No. MemoryBoost runs memory boosting as your computer is running, without your intervention, but you probably won't ever notice it. The reason is that it tries to run only when you are away from your desk, not using your computer. This ensures that it does not interrupt your work because boosting can slow down your computer somewhat. You can instruct MemoryBoost to boost whenever it wants, so you can see it in action if you like. Use the Settings page in the Manager window; the options are all documented there.

Can I show my system resources in the system tray?

Yes. In the Options page in the Manager window, you can set your tray icon to represent system resources. Or you can set it to system resources and memory. In this case, the numbers in the tray icon represent the amount of free memory, and the color bar below represents the amount of free system resources.

Sometimes my game becomes jerky when MemoryBoost is running. Can I fix this?

Yes, it's easy. If there's a game or other program that really needs to use all your memory and CPU, and you don't want MemoryBoost to interfere, you can add the program to MemoryBoost's Avoided List. You add a program by its window title; type in the game's window title, and you will be all set.
